Hours and contract length: Full-time (40 hours/wk), six-month duration

Do you have a passion for in-depth reporting and a desire to elevate the voices of those impacted by humanitarian crises? The New Humanitarian (TNH) is offering a life-changing opportunity through its Humanitarian Reporting Fellowship.
This six-month program will immerse you in the heart of TNH’s global newsroom, equipping you with the skills to craft compelling stories that resonate with a global audience. Starting in May 2024, you’ll:
- Gain expertise in reporting, framing, and presenting local stories for a worldwide platform.
- Experiment with multimedia techniques and develop innovative formats that reflect your own community.
- Contribute original work across various platforms, both short- and long-format.
We’re particularly interested in journalists from the Middle East to join our fellows this year, but applications are welcome from all regions of the Global South. We believe in amplifying diverse voices that offer rich, localized perspectives on humanitarian issues.

- Availability to work full-time during West Africa Standard Time (Central European Time) business hours.
