Are you ready to revolutionize education in Ethiopia? The Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship is here to bridge the education gap for underserved young people over a transformative 3-year program.
Program Overview: In partnership with Reach for Change, the Mastercard Foundation is launching a catalytic acceleration program to support the scaling of 12 EdTech enterprises per cohort. Our goal? To enhance inclusive learning and transform education in Ethiopia through coaching, funding, networking, and post-acceleration support.
Unleashing Technology for Inclusive Education: Access to quality education remains a challenge in Ethiopia, but technology holds the key to change. EdTech entrepreneurs have the opportunity to develop inclusive solutions, leveraging existing technologies to meet the diverse needs of underserved communities.
Join the First Cohort: Applications for the inaugural cohort of EdTech Fellows are now open! We’re seeking 12 growth-stage enterprises with tech-enabled solutions aimed at increasing access to inclusive learning opportunities for children and young people in Ethiopia.
Award Fund and Selection Criteria:
- Coaching and investor advisory
- Peer learning sessions
- Access to courses from Carnegie Mellon University
- Visibility through impactful storytelling
- Equity-free funding of USD 60,000 per enterprise
Selection Criteria:
- Tech-enabled solutions targeting underserved communities
- Legal incorporation in Ethiopia
- Demonstrated impact and scalability potential
- Revenue generation and commitment to sustainability
- Diverse team with local context understanding
