As we eagerly anticipate COP28 and the historic COP Health Day, it’s crucial to sustain our momentum, drive action, and uphold accountability into the coming year. Exciting news! In collaboration with Wellcome Trust, Global Climate and Health Alliance, and AMREF, we’re thrilled to introduce a unique chance to secure a small grant from the Climate x Health initiative. This grant aims to fortify advocacy efforts and collective action in early 2024.
In its inaugural year, the program will allocate a limited number of small grants ranging from USD $5,000 to $10,000. These grants aim to support proposals falling under two broad categories:
1. Make the case for greater action and accountability on climate and health:
- Target decision-makers
- Persuasively call for ambitious climate and health action
- Leverage evidence generation, human stories, champion voices, and more
2. Build capacity and partnerships amid the growing climate and health community:
- Facilitate impactful and coordinated action on climate and health
- Invest in the community itself
- Involve new groups
- Lay groundwork for meaningful partnerships and dialogue
- Ensure groups are equipped to collaborate effectively for change
The deadline for proposal submission is Monday, November 27, 2023, at 18:00 ET.
Decisions will be made and announced in early 2024, with funds disbursement to follow. Activities and deliverables must be completed by the end of May 2024, and final reports are due by the end of June 2024.
