About the Fellowship:
- A £750,000 award for mid-career postdoctoral researchers.
- Funding for research projects, training, development, and institutional capacity strengthening.
- Aimed at individuals from the UK and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to become research leaders.
- Projects must primarily benefit people in LMICs eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a relevant PhD or postgraduate medical research degree.
- Not already hold a Professorship/Chair at the point of application.
- Employed by a Higher Education Institution (HEI) or Research Institute in an LMIC or the UK.
- Conducting research that directly benefits patients and the public in countries on the OECD DAC list.
Institutional Eligibility:
- LMIC-based researchers: Institution must provide appropriate academic support and have a track record of research funding.
- UK-based researchers: Must have at least one partner organization in LMIC(s).
