Exciting Scholarship Opportunity for MENA, Horn of Africa, Sahel, and SIDS Regions

Are you passionate about water sustainability and development? Do you hail from the Middle East, Horn of Africa, Sahel, or a Small Island Development State (SIDS)? If so, we have great news for you!

The IHE Delft Water and Development Partnership Programme, generously funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is offering a select number of scholarships. These scholarships aim to strengthen capacity and build networks of water professionals in focus regions and countries.

What’s Available:

  • Full scholarships covering the total cost of the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development, including tuition fees, insurance, international travel expenses, and a monthly living allowance of EURO 1,115.
  • Partial scholarships are also available.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be admitted to the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development.
  • Reside or work in one of the eligible countries.
  • Commit to conducting MSc research in your home country/region associated with a program-supported project.
  • Actively participate in seminars organized by the program’s learning networks.
  • Confirm your intention to return to your home country or another priority country after completion.

Selection Criteria:

Preference will be given to:

  • Female candidates.
  • Applicants with strong motivation, demonstrated through five motivation questions in the online application.
  • Candidates with a solid academic background and relevant work experience.

Application Process:

No separate application form is required for the scholarship. If you are a national of one of the eligible countries and meet the criteria, you’ll automatically be considered after applying for admission and receiving your academic admission letter. We encourage you to explore additional scholarship opportunities for which you may be eligible.

Important Dates:

  • June 1, 2024: Deadline for application for admission and scholarship.
  • July 1, 2024: Scholarship selection outcomes announced.

Additional Notes:

  • Applicants from Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, Kenya, and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines are exempt from submitting an English test score.
  • For candidates interested in studying at IHE Delft, early application is advised. We recommend brushing up on your English skills and registering for any required English language tests.
