About the Competition

The ChallengeUS Future Leaders Competition is a groundbreaking platform dedicated to nurturing the potential of young visionaries worldwide. Our mission is clear: to foster critical thinking, creativity, and leadership skills among the next generation.

Through a series of contests, participants are invited to express their perspectives and ideas through speech and/or writing. Whether it’s addressing pressing global issues, proposing groundbreaking solutions, or exploring emerging trends, we encourage participants to push the boundaries of conventional thinking and unleash their creativity.

Top Prize:

• $250: Awarded to the first-place winners in each submission category

Prompt for Spring 2024:

“Through youth-led initiatives, advocacy, and grassroots efforts, young voices and perspectives have proven to be vital catalysts for change. What, in your opinion, is the role of young people in a functioning society?”

Submission Categories

Writing Submission:

Participants are invited to submit an original written piece in response to the prompt. From personal narratives to analytical essays, we welcome all forms of writing that showcase thoughtfulness, creativity, and insight.

Speech Submission:

Participants can submit a video showcasing their public speaking skills by delivering an original speech addressing the prompt. We encourage participants to speak passionately and persuasively, conveying their unique perspectives and ideas.

Eligibility, Guidelines, and Prizes

Eligibility:

• Open to students worldwide currently enrolled in high school or college/university
• Students on academic gap years or semesters are also eligible
• Submissions must be in English and original

Guidelines:

• No use of AI or plagiarism allowed
• Writing submissions should be within 1250 words in PDF format
• Speech submissions should not exceed 10 minutes and must be in MP4 format

• First-place winners in each category will receive a $250 cash prize

1. When will I be notified about contest results?

• Contest results will be announced on the ChallengeUS website in August 2024.

2. Can I submit both an essay and speech submission?

• Yes! We encourage participants to submit both, but they will only be recognized for one category.

3. I already submitted but would like to resubmit before the deadline. What can I do?

• You can resubmit by using the submission form for the respective contest division (essay/speech). Your latest submission will be considered final.

4. I’m having an issue submitting my essay. What can I do?

• Please email us at admin@challengeusnow.org for assistance.

5. I missed the deadline. Can I have an extension?

• Unfortunately, there are no extensions to the deadline.

6. I have a question not covered in the guidelines or FAQs. What should I do?
