Apply Now for the 2024 We Serve to Remember 9/11 Day of Service Grants

Honor and Commemorate 9/11 with Service

Over two decades have passed since 9/11. Honor the sacrifices made that day by joining community service projects on the 9/11 Day of Service. YSA’s We Serve to Remember Grants, funded by AmeriCorps, support organizations, schools, and youth changemakers (ages 5-25) to lead projects that pay tribute to those lost on September 11, 2001.

Grant Details

  • Grant Amount: $1,000 each, up to 100 grants.
  • Youth Engagement: Involve at least 100 youth volunteers, with 80% from underserved backgrounds.

Who Should Apply?

  • U.S.-based researchers, K-12 educators, designers, policymakers, artists, community leaders, creators, and other experts.
  • Projects must be youth-led and take place around September 11, 2024.
  • Applicants must ensure projects honor the memory of 9/11 and involve youth facing systemic barriers.

Application Requirements

  • Projects must not include activities prohibited by Title 45, Section 2520.65 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Provide evidence of volunteer participation and hours served.
