Are you a young person in Northern Ireland passionate about having your voice heard? Here’s your chance to make a real impact! The National Children’s Bureau (NCB) is currently recruiting Young Research Advisors to join their esteemed Young Research Advisory group.

Who are the Young Research Advisors?

The Young Research Advisors form a dynamic research community dedicated to various tasks including:

  • Advising on, testing, and co-designing research methods and tools.
  • Conducting primary research activities, including peer research.
  • Interpreting and disseminating research findings.
  • Exploring research priorities and questions.

Who can apply?

This fantastic opportunity is open to individuals aged 11-18, or up to 25 for disabled young people and those with special educational needs. No prior experience is necessary – just a desire to contribute to decisions that affect you!

What do you gain as a member?

As a member of the Young Research Advisory group, you will:

  • Attend meetings online.
  • Receive training on research methods, ethics, and key policy issues from NCB staff.
  • Receive vouchers for your participation.
  • Access other exciting opportunities, such as participation in the NCB podcast programme.
