Call For Applications: ARROW Advocacy Institute (AAI) Cohort 2

ARROW Advocacy Institute Cohort 2 is now accepting applications!

The ARROW Advocacy Institute (AAI) Cohort 2 aims to provide an opportunity for women and young people in their diversity to deeply explore Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and its intersections with various aspects of life, work, and realities.

The Institute focuses on SRHR and its interconnections with poverty, conflict, climate change, food security, religious fundamentalism, disability, and more in the Asia-Pacific region.

Objectives of ARROW Advocacy Institute Cohort 2:
– Create an innovative space for discussing SRHR concepts and connecting them to real-world scenarios.
– Strengthen the capacity of participants from the Asia-Pacific region to understand the intersections of SRHR with other development issues.
– Establish a common understanding of significant SRHR issues in the Asia-Pacific region.
– Identify and prioritize common advocacy plans at the national level.
– Enhance the participants’ capacities to engage in regional and global advocacy for gender equality and SRHR.

– Intersectional Lens: Issues in Asia-Pacific, Movements and Geopolitics in Advocacy
– Gender, disability, and social inclusion
– Trade, security, and Economic Policies
– Human Rights and Gender wars – Local, National, Global
– Environmental Justice, Climate Change, Food Security
– Fundamentalisms, Peace, Conflict, Rising Intolerance

Eligibility Criteria:
– Open to women and young people in their diversity from the Asia-Pacific region.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in human rights and gender equality at community, national, or regional levels.
– Age between 18 to 35 years.

Duration and Format:
– Six-week virtual institute with weekly sessions lasting approximately 3-4 hours.
– Each session includes a lecture and tutorial focusing on regional or country-specific contexts.
