2024 PAID Summer Internship Program at DoSomething: Make an Impact!

DoSomething, a thirty-year-old nonprofit empowering young people to change the world, is offering an exciting opportunity to join their Summer Internship Program. From donating over 1 million jeans to homeless youth to registering 365,000 young people to vote, DoSomething has a track record of impactful initiatives. Now, they’re inviting passionate individuals like you to join their team and contribute to their mission.

Program Details:

Application Deadline: May 21st
In-person Interview Event: May 23rd
Program Start Date: June 3rd
Program End Date: End of August
Compensation: $20/hr @ 25 hours max per week

Working Style:

– Hybrid working schedule – remote days M/F & Virtual August, in-person days Tu/W/Th.
– Flexible working hours between 8 am – 6 pm EST.
– DoSomething Office: 50 W 17th Street, Floor 11

The Program:

This internship offers you the opportunity to contribute to an open project within one of DoSomething’s teams. You’ll gain valuable skills, experience non-profit life, and be part of a community that values inclusion and belonging.

What You’ll Do & What You’ll Get:

– Independent work on your team’s open project
– Joining team meetings
– Meeting 1:1 with your leader

– Intern cohort time

The Teams & Open Projects @ DoSomething:

1. Marketing & Communications
-Open Project: Supporting DoSomething in the development and execution of their 2024 voter mobilization strategy.

2. DoSomething Strategic
Open Project: Enhancing understanding and support for student mental health in one of DoSomething’s client’s school districts.

3. Product & Engineering
Open Projects: Data analysis and product research aimed at improving user experience for educators and youth leaders.

4. Development (Fundraising)
Open Project: Supporting a prospect research project to identify potential funding opportunities.

5. Office of the CEO, DeNora Getachew
Open Project: Enhancing the CEO’s online presence and engagement through strategic social media posts.

6. Programming & Impact
Open Project: Supporting all summer campaign and programming efforts.

7. People & Culture
Open Project: Creating a people-events calendar of wellness events for DoSomething’s hybrid workforce.
