Program Overview: Research Fellow Program for the Office of Evaluation and Oversight

OVE (Office of Evaluation and Oversight) at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is inviting applications for Research Fellows. This prestigious program offers selected candidates the chance to actively contribute to OVE’s work, delve into the realm of evaluation, and gain hands-on experience in a multilateral development bank for up to three years.

Position Details:

• Post of Duty: Washington D.C
• Type of Contract: Consultant – Full time (CNS)
• Length of Contract: 19 months, renewable up to an additional 17 months
• Application Deadline: December 6, 2023

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the guidance of senior staff on evaluations of the IDB Group’s programs and activities.
• Assemble, analyze, and present core evaluative information.
• Prepare specific analytical pieces and background papers.
• Contribute to country program, corporate, thematic, and project evaluations.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Citizenship: Citizen of one of the 48-member countries.
• Age: Under 33 years of age by January 1, 2024 (Or 38 years of age for defined diversity groups).
• Education: Recently completed a master’s degree or higher in relevant fields.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Languages: Proficiency in English; knowledge of at least one more Bank language (Spanish, Portuguese, or French) is a plus.
