Thanks to funding from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions COFUND program of the European Union, 51 fully funded PhD positions are up for grabs. The GROW program, designed with a Triple-I approach, focuses on Natural Sciences, Social Sciences & Humanities, and Engineering.

Key Features:

• 4-year PhD positions at five distinguished Dutch universities.
• Research fields include Social Sciences & Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Engineering.
• Full-time employment contract, aligning with Dutch collective labor agreements.
• Supervision from Dutch and/or African academics, with advisory teams of societal experts.
• PhD training program, peer-to-peer sessions, and the opportunity for secondment or fieldwork in Africa.

📅 Important Dates:

• Application Deadline: January 31st, 2024.
• Selection Process: February – April.
• PhD Employment Starts: July 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

• No doctoral degree at the recruitment date.
• Candidates of all nationalities eligible.
• Mobility rule: Not resided in the Netherlands for more than 12 months in the 36 months before the program’s deadline.

Entry Requirements:

• Completed university degree (MA, MSc, or LLM) within the last 10 years.
• Eligibility window extension available for specific circumstances.
