Apply to serve on the United Nations-UNODC YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board

Are you passionate about integrity, ethics, and anti-corruption? Are you between 18 and 30 years old? If so, we invite you to apply to become a member of the “YouthLED” Integrity Advisory Board, a key initiative under the Global Resource for Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment (GRACE) of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

About the GRACE Initiative

The GRACE initiative aims to promote education and youth empowerment in preventing and countering corruption, fostering a culture of integrity among young people. We work with today’s youth to develop tomorrow’s leaders in transparency, accountability, and integrity.

At UNODC, we believe that young people should have the opportunity to influence global policy dialogues on integrity and anti-corruption. The sustainable, scalable, and efficient solutions to corruption require the participation of those most affected by it – the youth.

The YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board

Upholding the principle “nothing about us without us,” the GRACE initiative launched the YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board in 2022. The Board consists of talented and motivated young individuals from around the world who are dedicated to anti-corruption efforts and promoting a culture of ethics.

Responsibilities of Board Members

YouthLED Board members play a vital role as “co-leading partners” to the GRACE team. They support the initiative’s four cross-cutting principles: partnerships, innovation, gender, and youth. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Engagement and Consultation: Engaging with youth in their regions and globally on anti-corruption efforts.
  • Strategic Advice: Providing insights and advice on the priorities of young people from different parts of the world.
  • Advocacy: Promoting anti-corruption initiatives within their communities and sharing best practices.
  • Training and Learning: Offering training opportunities based on GRACE tools and resources.

Commitment

The Board requires a time commitment of 1 to 3 hours per week, with occasional in-person events. Members must commit to serving for at least one year.

Application Criteria

We are looking for young people who:

  • Are aged 18-30 at the time of application.
  • Have knowledge or experience in integrity, ethics, and anti-corruption.
  • Are connected with other young activists at national, regional, or global levels.
  • Are willing to actively participate in a variety of activities and events, both online and in-person.

Young people with disabilities, from ethnic minorities, indigenous communities, and other marginalized or under-represented groups are especially encouraged to apply.
