The Global Education Challenge is calling on young innovators to present ideas, projects, and business solutions that enhance access to free and high-quality education worldwide. We are particularly interested in innovative solutions that address the following critical areas:

  1. Widen Access to Basic Mathematics and Literacy Skills
  2. Promote Financial Inclusion Through Education
  3. Deliver Education to Remote and Rural Communities
  4. Eliminate Gender Disparities in Education

Our Mission

Our goal is to identify and support lasting solutions that can be scaled up and replicated across different geographies. We believe that by empowering young people with the tools and opportunities they need, we can create a more inclusive and equitable education system for all.

About the Challenge

The Social Shifters Global Education Challenge is specifically designed for young people aged 18-30. It encourages them to explore, start, and grow ideas that support better access to free and high-quality education. Here are some of the reasons why you should get involved:

Eligibility

Our competition is open to any young person aged 18-30 from anywhere in the world. Whether your idea is just beginning to take shape or is already in the project or business phase, we want to hear from you.

Challenge Timeline

From May 1st: Register early for GIC24 to access our program extras!

May 27th: Submissions open

June 4th: Submission support program starts

July 31st (11pm UTC): Submissions close

August 13th: Exclusive follow-on project support starts (100 spots available)

September 16th: Submission scoring begins

September 29th: Submission scoring ends

October 21st: Finalists 1-2-1 pitch coaching begins

November 18th: Finals! Pitching begins

December 8th: Winning projects announced
