Programme Content

The UN Immersion Programme to Geneva offers a comprehensive overview of the United Nations. Participants will gain solid knowledge of international affairs, core diplomatic skills, and engage in activities with key Geneva-based agencies, such as:

  • United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG)
  • United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR)
  • World Trade Organization (WTO)
  • International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
  • World Meteorological Organization (WMO)

Premium Package

Opt for our Premium Package to elevate your experience. This includes a 4-week UN Young Leaders Online Training Programme as a preparatory e-Learning course. Delivered on the UNITAR online platform, the course features:

  • Module 1: The United Nations
  • Module 2: Conference Diplomacy
  • Module 3: Sustainable Development Goals
  • Module 4: Cross-cultural Communication

Premium Package participants receive accommodation in Geneva during the field visit, with 6 nights in a reputable hotel, strategically located near the UN institutions (check-in: Sunday before, check-out: Saturday after).

Participants

The Immersion Programme welcomes individuals from various backgrounds, including the public and private sectors, NGOs, think tanks, academia, and university students. To ensure quality, only a maximum of 30 participants per field visit and 50 participants per online training programme will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All participants will be awarded a UNITAR certificate upon completion.

To secure your spot:

  • 2. Click “check out” and create your profile on the UNITAR event page.
  • 3. Review your information, select a payment method (credit card or bank transfer), and click “complete payment.”
  • 4. For credit card payments, the process is immediate. For bank transfers, your payment may be delayed.
  • 5. UNITAR will follow up with you via email.
