The accelerator is looking for ambitious organizations that are using frontier artificial intelligence to solve pressing environmental problems. About the Google DeepMind Accelerator AI for the Planet Program
The Google DeepMind Accelerator AI for the Planet is a specialized accelerator created to help promising AI driven organizations move from innovative ideas to scalable environmental solutions.
The program aims to support organizations that are leveraging frontier artificial intelligence to address some of the world’s most urgent environmental issues.
Google DeepMind plans to select 10 to 15 organizations for this highly competitive accelerator.
Throughout the three month program, participants will gain direct access to Google’s advanced AI ecosystem, including specialized frontier AI models, while working closely with Google engineers, researchers, and industry experts to overcome technical challenges and accelerate product development.
Beyond the accelerator, graduating organizations become members of the prestigious Google Accelerator Alumni Network, a global community consisting of more than 2,000 startups and non profit organizations.
Program Structure
The accelerator is carefully designed to combine intensive in person learning with long term virtual mentorship.
1. Week Long In Person Bootcamp
The accelerator begins with a one week immersive bootcamp where participating organizations will:
- Meet Google mentors and technical experts.
- Attend keynote sessions.
- Participate in practical workshops.
- Receive diagnostic sessions tailored to their projects.
- Define project goals and implementation roadmaps.
- Collaborate with fellow innovators across the APAC region.

Functional Prototype
Organizations should already possess:
- A functional prototype, or
- A Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
Applicants should also demonstrate:
- Early validation.
- Proven traction.
AI Centric Solution
Artificial intelligence must:
- Be the core technology powering the current solution, or
- Form a central component of the future technical roadmap.
Google AI Integration
Applicants should demonstrate clear potential to integrate Google AI technologies, including:
- Gemini.
- Gemma.
- AlphaEarth.
- Forestry.
- Perch.
- Other specialized Google AI models.
Strong Technical Team
Organizations should have:
- An established in house technical team.
- Expertise in AI.
- Expertise in machine learning.
Leadership Commitment
At least two or three senior leaders must participate throughout the accelerator.
These may include:
- Founders.
- Chief executives.
- Chief technology officers.
- Primary technical decision makers.
