Who Can Apply for the Äänit Prize 2026?
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Alumni Requirement
Applicants must be:
- Mandela Rhodes Alumni from 2005 onwards, or
- Rhodes Scholar Alumni from 2005 onwards
Leadership Requirement
Applicants must be:
- Founders
- Co-founders, or
- Members of the executive team
of the organization or venture they are submitting.
Impact Requirement
Applicants must demonstrate clear or potential contribution to at least one of the designated impact areas in Africa.
Commitment Requirement
Successful applicants are expected to remain involved in their ventures for at least two years following the award.
