Enroll Now: Tutored Online Training on Global Education and Intercultural/Interfaith Dialogue

The North-South Centre of the Council of Europe is excited to announce a Tutored Online Training Course on Global Education and Intercultural/Interfaith Dialogue, running from 7 October to 3 November 2024. This course is part of the iLEGEND III project and is designed to enhance skills and knowledge in Global Education, Intercultural/Interfaith Dialogue, and Human Rights.

  • Course Duration: 7 October – 3 November 2024
  • Mode: Fully online, hosted on the HELP CoE e-learning platform
  • Workload: Approximately 25 hours total
  • Structure: 4 modules, one per week; self-paced
  • Language: English
  • Certificate: Certificate of participation upon completion

Target Audience:

  • Education practitioners (formal and non-formal sectors)
  • Media professionals
  • Members of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Faith-Based Organisations (FBOs)

Course Objectives:

  • Reflect on Global Education concepts, principles, and methodology
  • Analyze notions related to Intercultural/Interfaith Dialogue, such as culture, discrimination, racism, and inclusion/exclusion
  • Develop competencies in conflict resolution and promoting a culture of peace and non-violence
  • Foster networking among participants engaged in global awareness and educational actions

The course framework is based on the  Global Education Guidelines developed by the North-South Centre. Participants will engage in collaborative and interactive activities through a non-formal learning approach, guided by two tutors over the course duration.

Eligibility:

  • 40 participants will be selected
  • Preferably aged 18-30
  • Residents of North-South Centre member states, Southern neighborhood countries, Sub-Saharan Africa, or Council of Europe member states
  • A limited number of spots are available for applicants from other countries
