Overview

The ASEAN-Japan Youth Forum 2024, under the banner “Take Actions for Social Change (TASC),” aims to facilitate meaningful exchanges and practical solutions for societal challenges. By bringing together young minds from ASEAN nations and Japan, the program seeks to instill a sense of unity and mutual respect while nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.

• Application Timeline: May 1 – June 30, 2024
• 1st Round Selection Announcement: Mid-July 2024
• 2nd Round Interview: Mid-August 2024
• 2nd Round Selection Result: Mid-September 2024

• ASEAN Field Trip in Indonesia: December 2024

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for participation, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Full-time undergraduate students from AUN Core Member Universities
• Citizen or permanent resident of the country where AUN Member Universities are located
• Have not lived abroad (including study abroad) for more than one year after the age of 12
• Physically and mentally healthy
• Will not leave their own country for study, internship, employment, or training during the program
• Engaged in or strongly interested in addressing global and national social issues
• Interested in international exchange and cross-cultural understanding
• Proficient in English with a positive attitude towards global communication
• Willing and able to participate fully in the program, including online components
• Agree to the use of photographs and videos for promotional purposes

3. Letter of recommendation from a professor or advising teacher
4. English Proficiency Test Result/Certificate (if available)
5. Signed Consent on Handling of Personal Information

(All documents must be in English)

Terms of Financial Support

The program offers financial support covering international travel expenses, meals, accommodation, and related transportation during the Indonesia and Japan segments. However, participants are responsible for their round-trip transportation from their nearest airport to the venue.
