[Paid internship] MPI Europe Internships: Shaping the Future of Migration Policy

Established in Brussels in 2011, the Migration Policy Institute Europe (MPI Europe) is a nonprofit research institute committed to enhancing understanding and facilitating effective policymaking in Europe’s migration landscape.

Research and Quantitative Internships Now Open

We are currently accepting applications for three full-time, in-person internships in Brussels, offering an enriching experience collaborating with experts across various policy domains, such as EU immigration and asylum systems, labor migration, and immigrant integration.

Positions Available:

  1. Quantitative Internship (Duration: Seven Months)
  2. Research Internships (Duration: Six Months, Two Positions)

Roles and Responsibilities:

Interns will actively contribute to research efforts, assist in publication dissemination, provide event support, and undertake administrative tasks. The quantitative intern will engage in supporting quantitative research, including data collection, cleaning, and conducting analyses using STATA.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a relevant field (full-time availability during the internship)
  • Demonstrated interest in migration, asylum, or integration
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to handle diverse tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in languages other than English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access
  • Experience in quantitative, qualitative, or policy research

Details and Conditions:

Successful interns will receive a monthly payment of 1310.15 euros, along with lunch vouchers of 8 euros per workday. Relocation expenses are not covered. Applicants eligible to work in Belgium will be considered.
