IAFFE’s 2nd Feminist Economics School: Call for Applications(Fully-funded)

Introduction: We are thrilled to announce the call for applications for the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) 2nd Feminist Economics School, scheduled to take place on July 1-2, 2024, in the vibrant city of Rome.

What is the Feminist Economics School? The Feminist Economics School is a unique opportunity for 20-30 early career scholars, practitioners, activists, and policymakers who are actively involved in research and action related to feminist economics. This school aims to provide formal training to individuals who have had limited access to such resources. Over one-and-a-half days, participants will engage in workshops, gaining insights into key aspects of feminist economics thinking, methodologies, and policy applications by reflecting on their own practices and experiences.

Who Can Apply? We invite applications from early-career scholars, activists, and policymakers with a keen interest in feminist economics. Applicants comfortable working in English are encouraged to apply. Considering the location in Rome, we particularly welcome applications from the Middle East and North African region, as well as from underrepresented groups in Europe.

Cost and Financial Support: Participation in the Feminist Economics School is free of charge. Travel grants are available to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and visa applications for participants who require assistance. Meals and local transportation will be provided during the IAFFE school. Additionally, participants are strongly encouraged to attend the IAFFE Annual Conference in Rome immediately following the school (July 3-5), and travel grants also cover conference registration fees.

How to Apply: To apply, interested individuals must complete the application form, including a brief 400-word statement, by December 31st. Late applications will not be accepted. The selection of participants is expected to be finalized by early February.
