Program Details:

The ITU YPP is a platform for emerging talent to explore and influence the future of the tech sector, from setting standards and policies to shaping regulations and recommendations. The program is a stepping stone for individuals passionate about ICT and committed to making a positive impact. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Duration: The YPP is a two-year rotation program, with the first year spent at ITU headquarters and the second year possibly in a Regional/Area Office.
2. Areas of Focus: Young professionals will have the opportunity to contribute to bridging the digital divide and leveraging technology for the benefit of society across ITU’s three Sectors and the General Secretariat.

4. Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for the ITU YPP, you must:
   • Be a national from an ITU Member State.
   • Preference is given to individuals from developing countries, LDCs, LLDCs, and SIDS.
   • Commit to a 24-month assignment.
   • Be no older than 30 years at the time of application.

8. Qualifications: A university degree in a related field or equivalent education from a reputable college is required. At least one year of experience in one of the relevant domains is preferred. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of another official ITU language is advantageous.

Benefits and Entitlements:

Successful applicants will receive a competitive total annual salary, consisting of a net annual salary and a cost-of-living allowance. Additional allowances and benefits are provided according to specific terms of appointment.
