United Nations Organizations that Offer Paid Internships Opportunities
With the new school 📚 year starts up again, many students will soon begin the internship hunt 👀! If you’re a student passionate about international relations, diplomacy, and development, consider interning in the UN system.
There are many agencies, funds, and programs part of the UnitedNations that pay 💰 interns (not every role, so be sure to read the internship postings)!
Here are a select group of international organizations (IGOs) that tend to offer paid internships:
➡️ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO): Stipend up to USD 700/month.
➡️ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA): Stipend.
➡️ International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD): Monthly allowance, and housing and travel allowance.
➡️ International Labour Organizaiton (ILO): Stipend to cover basic subsistence costs.
➡️ International Organization for Migration (IOM): Subsistence allowance.
➡️ United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS): Monthly stipend.
➡️ World Food Programme (WFP): Stipend up to USD 1,000/month.
➡️ World Trade Organization (WTO): Daily allowance of 60 CHF/day.
➡️ United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF): Stipend.
