Young people who care about climate change, environmental protection, sustainability, environmental inequality, conservation, or encouraging communities to take environmental action can connect their experiences to this pillar.

3. Thrive On

This area focuses on:

• Mental health
• Safety
• Wellbeing

Applicants can use this area to highlight their interest in creating safer and healthier communities and supporting young people in areas related to wellbeing and safety.

4. Be Heard

This pillar focuses on:

• Community voice
• Democracy
• Advocacy

Young people interested in civic engagement, democratic participation, advocacy, community organizing, public issues, or encouraging others to make their voices heard may be particularly suited to this focus area.

What Will DoCrew Members Do?

Selected members will play an active role in helping DoSomething communicate with and inspire its community of young people.

Their responsibilities will include creating and submitting digital content, participating in virtual meetings and coaching sessions, responding to feedback, supporting campaigns, and sharing reflections about their experiences.

The content may include:

• Short-form videos

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet several requirements to be considered for the DoCrew.

Applicants must:

1. Be at least 18 years of age when the DoCrew term begins in October 2026.
2. Live in the United States.
3. Be a current DoSomething member or create a free DoSomething account before applying.
4. Be available to actively participate as a DoCrew member.
5. Be available for the virtual orientation scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET.
6. Be available to participate in regular virtual check-ins.
