Part-Time Production Technician

Position Overview

The Part-Time Production Technician position is ideal for individuals with strong technical production skills and experience in both field and studio environments.

Production Technicians play an important role in supporting high-quality productions for broadcast television, digital media projects, and community programming.

Work Schedule

The selected candidate will work:

  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Candidates should also be available for occasional evening and weekend assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Selected technicians will:

  • Support studio and field productions
  • Operate Electronic News Gathering (ENG) cameras
  • Use professional video editing equipment
  • Assist with interviews and news package production
  • Set up and dismantle production staging materials
  • Operate control room equipment
  • Coordinate studio productions
  • Run graphics and production software

Media Production Internship – Summer 2026

Internship Overview

The Media Production Internship offers college and high school students an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media production and digital storytelling.

Interns will work directly with experienced media professionals while learning podcast production, television production, camera operations, editing, lighting, audio production, and social media storytelling.

Fellowship Overview

This 12-week immersive fellowship focuses on amplifying diverse voices and promoting equitable representation in digital media and storytelling.

The fellowship supports emerging media creators who identify as:

Fellows will work collaboratively in small teams to create hyper-local stories focused on Montgomery County communities.
