Applications are now open for the Flight PS752 Commemorative Scholarship Program 2026, a meaningful scholarship initiative that honours the lives and legacies of the victims of Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752.

The program supports full-time post-secondary students studying in Canada whose academic work aligns with the educational and professional backgrounds of the victims or focuses on air disaster prevention and aviation safety.

In 2025, the scholarship program awarded 36 scholarships to Canadian and international students from 19 educational institutions across six provinces, including doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s, and diploma students.

This scholarship provides both financial support and an opportunity for students to contribute to fields of study that reflect the aspirations and accomplishments of those lost in the tragedy.

About the Scholarship Program

The Flight PS752 Commemorative Scholarship Program was established to preserve the memory of the victims by supporting students whose studies embody similar areas of academic and professional excellence.

Eligible applicants must demonstrate how their current field of study connects to:

  • The academic or professional backgrounds of the victims of Flight PS752, or
  • Research and initiatives related to air disaster prevention and aviation safety

Scholarship Benefits

Selected recipients receive financial assistance to support their post-secondary education in Canada.

In addition to funding, recipients become part of an important legacy initiative that recognizes academic excellence, innovation, and remembrance.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time student
  • Study at a Canadian post-secondary institution, including universities and community colleges
  • Have completed at least one year of their current program
  • Have at least one year remaining in their studies
  • Demonstrate alignment between their field of study and the scholarship’s commemorative objectives

Eligible Institutions

Students from all recognized post-secondary institutions in Canada are eligible, including:

  • Universities
  • Community colleges
  • Polytechnic institutions

Both Canadian and international students studying in Canada may apply.

Application Deadline

Applications must be submitted by:

9 June 2026
