Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for:
- Overseeing daily operations
- Driving long-term strategic growth
- Ensuring legal and financial compliance
- Managing partnerships and external relations
- Representing the organization publicly
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management, requiring both vision and operational expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership
- Lead all internal operations, including programs, finance, and administration
- Build and strengthen organizational infrastructure
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in all activities
Strategic Direction
- Develop and implement long-term strategies
- Partner with the Board on decision-making and goal setting
- Navigate complex political and nonprofit environments
Partnerships and Outreach
- Build relationships with funders, donors, and stakeholders
- Expand SDP’s network of sponsored projects
- Represent the organization as its primary spokesperson
Program and Project Support
- Provide guidance to sponsored projects on fundraising and development
- Ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance
- Monitor project performance and impact
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support staff and consultants
- Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and accountability
Candidate Profile

Core Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in nonprofit organizations
- Strong understanding of fiscal sponsorship models

Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000 annually
