International academics seeking funded research opportunities in the UK can now apply for the prestigious AHSS Global Fellows Scheme 2026/27 at Queen’s University Belfast. What Is the AHSS Global Fellows Scheme?

The AHSS Global Fellows Scheme is designed to bring outstanding international scholars to Queen’s University Belfast for short-term academic visits. Fellows will work closely with colleagues in one of the Faculty’s four Schools while pursuing collaborative research projects and knowledge exchange activities.

This fellowship is open to academics at any career stage and across disciplines connected to the Faculty’s academic areas.

Fellowship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive a strong package of support, including:

• Funding for visits lasting 4 to 12 weeks
• Travel and accommodation funding up to £4,000
• A courtesy desk within the host School

Longer stays may be possible through self-funded arrangements.

Applicants may be hosted within one of the Faculty’s four Schools:
