Spread the love

The Community Resource Exchange (CRE) has officially launched its 2026 Call for Proposals for Africa, offering funding to support community-driven initiatives that defend human rights in the context of international investments and development projects.

This funding opportunity is particularly focused on critical minerals, a rapidly growing sector linked to global energy transitions and industrial development. Communities affected by projects involving minerals such as lithium, cobalt, copper, and rare earth elements are encouraged to apply for support to strengthen their advocacy and protection efforts.

About the CRE Collaboration Grants

The CRE Collaboration Grants are designed to empower communities and grassroots actors by funding collaborative projects that address the challenges posed by large-scale investments and development initiatives.

Rather than working in isolation, CRE promotes collective strategy-building, enabling communities to partner with researchers, advocates, and organizations to create meaningful and sustainable impact.
