CFC Call for Proposals 2026 Investing in Thriving Farmers, Resilient Ecosystems, and Inclusive Value Chains

The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) invites proposals for innovative, financially viable projects that strengthen smallholder livelihoods, restore ecosystems, and build inclusive commodity value chains in developing countries.

CFC supports initiatives where commercial success goes hand in hand with social inclusion and environmental sustainability, enabling farmers and local enterprises to access markets, increase incomes, and protect biodiversity.

Application Deadline: 1 April 2026
Open to: Eligible organizations in CFC Member Countries


Our Mission and Vision

CFC’s mission is to contribute to poverty alleviation by strengthening the income-generating capacity of commodity producers and reducing their economic vulnerability.

Our vision is a diversified and resilient commodity sector that drives sustainable economic growth while improving livelihoods in developing countries.


Who Can Apply?

Applications are welcome from:

  • SMEs and cooperatives

  • Social enterprises and NGOs

  • Public or private sector entities

Applicants must:

  • Be based in, or actively operating in, one of CFC’s 101 member countries

  • Demonstrate at least three years of relevant operational experience

  • Propose projects that are financially viable and scalable


Strategic Focus Areas

CFC prioritizes projects that address one or more of the following:

  • Trade finance solutions linking smallholders to global markets

  • Regenerative agriculture and biodiversity conservation

  • Local value addition with low environmental impact

  • Digital and agri-technology for transparent value chains

  • Improved financial access for smallholder farmers

  • Women-led enterprises and gender-responsive business models

Priority consideration will be given to:

  • Projects in the Congo Basin focused on sustainable forest resource use

  • Proposals from or benefiting LDCs, LLDCs, and SIDS


Application Process

  • Deadline: 1 April 2026

  • Submission language: English only

  • Required documents:

    • Completed application form

    • Balance sheet and income statement

Reference versions of forms are available in multiple languages; however, final submissions must be in English.

29th Call for Proposals

  • 6 May 2026 | 10:00–11:00 CET

  • 1 September 2026 | 15:00–16:00 CET
