About the Position:
Are you passionate about climate justice and eager to make a difference in the world? In this role, you will play a crucial part in fundraising and planning the financial growth of the YCJF while supporting our donor influencing efforts.
Background:
The Youth Climate Justice Fund (YCJF) supports youth climate justice movements globally, providing trust-based funding, resources, and capacity development. Launched in 2023, we have received an overwhelming response and are committed to supporting groups in over 35 countries.
Location:
This position is remote, preferably based in the Global South.
Compensation:
$184 per day, full-time (35 hrs/week) + benefits.
Contract Type:
Renewable consultancy contract with vacation time and benefits.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Researching funding opportunities aligned with YCJF’s mission.
- Developing proposals, reports, and narratives for funders.
- Managing donor relationships and organizing fundraising events.
- Collaborating with partners and monitoring donor communications.
- Offering support to grantee partners in fundraising and development.
Profile:
- Experience in fundraising, development, and marketing within non-profit initiatives.
- Commitment to social justice and climate justice movements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Passion for equity, justice, and supporting marginalized communities.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
