Role Overview
The Research Analyst will join CEP’s dynamic Research team to support its mission of generating evidence-based insights into philanthropic practices. Analysts contribute to seminal research projects that help foundations and nonprofits strengthen their effectiveness and maximize their social impact.
The Analyst will focus on both quantitative and qualitative analysis, supporting the development of surveys, data interpretation, and the creation of compelling reports.
Key Responsibilities
As a Research Analyst, responsibilities will include:

Contributing to research projects that provide actionable insights to philanthropic organizations.

Performing rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses using data from foundations, grantees, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.

Designing survey questions and managing data collection processes.

Synthesizing findings into clear, concise, and impactful reports.

Supporting project management by independently handling delegated tasks and timelines.

Collaborating across teams to develop CEP’s internal knowledge base and operations.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

A bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) with work experience, or a master’s degree.

Proficiency in statistical analyses such as T-tests, ANOVA, and Chi-square.
-
Experience with regression analysis is preferred.

Strong quantitative analysis skills and the ability to synthesize findings into recommendations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Familiarity with R or Python statistical packages.

Experience in survey design is considered an asset.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
