The Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies offers transformative educational programs aimed at fostering global peace and justice.
Undergraduate Program in Peace Studies
This program helps students understand and address the roots of violence and inequality. Available as a supplementary major or interdisciplinary minor, it allows students from any Notre Dame department to gain skills for creating just societies, from local to global levels.
Master of Global Affairs with International Peace Studies Concentration
The Master of Global Affairs (MGA) with a concentration in International Peace Studies (IPS) combines rigorous coursework with real-world engagement. Administered by the Kroc Institute within the Keough School of Global Affairs, it prepares students for impactful careers through close work with policymakers and extensive field experience.
Ph.D. in Peace Studies
The Ph.D. program trains students in peace studies and a traditional discipline in the humanities or social sciences. Graduates become scholars and educators, contributing to the field with the aim of addressing violence and human suffering.
