MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP): Empowering Professionals for a Brighter Future

Overview

The MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP) is a transformative initiative designed to foster knowledge exchange and professional development for young impact makers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This program offers a unique opportunity for professionals to participate in short courses in the Netherlands and engage in tailor-made training tailored to their organization’s needs.

Funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Shiraka programme and managed by Nuffic, the MSP strengthens relations between the Netherlands and MENA countries through robust alumni networks and mutual understanding.

Eligibility

If you are a working professional residing in one of the following countries, you may be eligible for an MSP scholarship:

Syrians living and working in any of the above-listed countries can also apply for the scholarship.

MSP Short Course Scholarship

The MSP short course scholarship offers a fully-funded opportunity for professionals up to and including 45 years old to participate in short courses in the Netherlands. These courses vary in duration from 2 to 13 weeks and cover a range of topics relevant to your field.

  • Application Process: Scholarships are awarded through Dutch institutions offering the courses. Each institution may have additional requirements.
  • Language: Courses are available in English or French.
  • Selection: Scholarships are limited and awarded based on alignment with country-specific priority themes and applicant motivation.

MSP Tailor-Made Training (TMT)

For organizations seeking specialized training for their staff or groups of professionals with similar needs, the MSP offers  tailor-made training (TMT) provided by Dutch knowledge providers. This option is ideal for organizations looking for customized training solutions.

Alumni & Ambassadors

We value the contributions of our alumni and encourage you to share your experiences to inspire others. Your story can contribute to a dynamic global network of knowledge exchange and professional growth.

Social Media Campaign:

To participate in our MSP alumni social media campaign, please email MSP@nuffic.nl with the subject line “[MSP alumni social campaign]” and answer the following questions:

  1. How did receiving the MSP scholarship influence or change your life?
  2. What specific skills did you acquire during your course?
  3. How has obtaining a scholarship in the Netherlands impacted those around you (friends, family, colleagues)?

Include the following additional information:

  • Your country, age, current employer/job, and the course and year you studied in the Netherlands
  • A photo of yourself
  • Your social media account (optional for tagging)
