Call for Experts: Technical Advisory Group on AWaRe
WHO invites experts to join the Technical Advisory Group on AWaRe, which supports the AWaRe system for antimicrobial stewardship. This system, introduced in 2017, classifies antibiotics into Access, Watch, and Reserve groups to combat antimicrobial resistance.
The Advisory Group will:
1.Evaluate the impact of antimicrobial use on resistance.
2.Contribute to WHO’s guidance on stewardship.
3.Review and update AWaRe guidance.
4.Advise on antibiotic classification and implementation strategies.
5.Develop and assess new indicators and targets.
Members will serve independently and represent various disciplines. The group will meet annually, with potential interim meetings. Terms last up to two years, with reappointment possible. English is the working language.

1.A cover letter detailing motivation and qualifications.
2.A CV (including nationality).
3.A completed Declaration of Interests form, available at WHO DOI Form.
