Apply for a Graduate Horizons Programme for Prospective Students Affected by Displacement
Graduate Horizons is a global application support programme specifically designed for individuals affected by displacement. Graduate Horizons is an initiative of Oxford’s Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH), aiming to provide application support to prospective students affected by displacement.
Accepted participants will receive:
- individual mentorship and guidance on course selection, application processes, and scholarship opportunities.
- In addition to workshops and information sessions, specialised support for African applicants eligible for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program will be provided.
Overview:
- Duration: 5 months from late September 2024 to February 2025
- Places available: 80 individuals will receive 1:1 mentorship support, with additional spots for workshop participation
- Location: Online, participants can be based anywhere in the world
- Deadline to apply: Monday, 2nd September 2024 by 5pm BST
Eligibility:
To join Graduate Horizons, you must:
- Identify as having been affected by forced displacement: a current or former refugee, asylum seeker, IDP, or stateless person
- Have completed a BA degree with strong results
- Pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Oxford or other institutions worldwide
- Be able to conduct research in English
- Plan to apply to a graduate programme starting in the 2025-2026 academic year
- Submit a complete application form by the deadline
Information Session:
Interested individuals can attend an information session to learn more about Graduate Horizons and the application process. Sessions will be held on various dates in August, with the option to receive a recording if unable to attend live.
