Each year, we support approximately 150 doctoral candidates from diverse disciplines who are engaged in innovative research. Scholarships are available for those admitted to doctoral programs at state or state-recognized universities in Germany, Switzerland, and the European Union.

What We Offer

• Initial Funding: Scholarships are initially granted for one year, with the possibility of extension for up to two additional years, typically covering a total of three years. In exceptional cases, such as illness or childcare, funding may be extended for a fourth year.
• Comprehensive Support: Beyond financial assistance, we offer extensive non-material support, including workshops, training courses, and seminars. These cover essential skills like academic writing, presenting research findings, career planning, and project management.
