Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at McGill University(Fully-funded scholarship to Canada)

McGill University, in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, has been dedicated to the empowerment of academically gifted young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa through the esteemed Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. Since its inception in 2013, the program has been flourishing across both campuses of the university, providing access to world-class education and robust support systems for selected scholars.

Over the past decade, the Scholars Program has witnessed tremendous success, enabling 120 scholars to successfully complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees at McGill University. This transformative initiative has made a lasting impact, prompting an extension of the program for another decade at McGill.

Applying to the Scholars Program

The implementation of the Scholars Program is in collaboration with partner universities and non-governmental organizations, each managing the application process and decision-making independently.

To be considered for this opportunity, aspiring scholars must initiate their application through their chosen university, one of our partner institutions. Each partner institution has its unique set of deadlines and admission fees, so Mastercard encourage prospective applicants to thoroughly review the application guidelines or directly contact their institution of interest for detailed information.

In cases where application fees are required as part of the admissions process, these fees will be reimbursed to the student upon selection for the Scholars Program.
