The University of Konstanz, recognized as one of Germany’s Universities of Excellence, invites applications for 12 part-time (60%, E 13 TV-L) doctoral positions. These positions will commence on October 1st, 2024, and will be available until September 30th, 2028 (48 months).

About the Program

The positions are part of the graduate program “Post-Eurocentric Europe: Narratives of a World Province in Transformation” within the Department of Literature, Art, and Media Studies. The University of Konstanz has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative since 2007 and continues to thrive under the Excellence Strategy.

Position Details

Location: University of Konstanz, Germany
Duration: October 1st, 2024 – September 30th, 2028
Employment: Part-time (60%)
Salary: Up to pay group E 13 TV-L, depending on personal profile

Your Tasks

  • Develop a doctoral thesis within the thematic field of the graduate school (research programme details can be found here)
  • Participate actively in the academic life of the graduate school

Your Profile

  • Hold an excellent master’s degree in literary studies, cultural studies, history, cultural anthropology, political science, or law
  • Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary cooperation
