Fogarty Global Health Fellowship: ACHIEVE Global Research Training Program [includes $10,000 in research project seed funding]

The International Center for Child Health and Development (ICHAD) is currently recruiting for our ACHIEVE Global Research Training Program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Citizenship:
    • US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (LPR) or citizen of Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, or Uganda
  • Education:
    • Completed a terminal degree (PhD, MD, MBChB, DrPH, etc.) within the past 6 years
  • Research Interests:
    • Global health research focused on children, adolescents, and their caregiving families
    • Parenting, HIV/AIDS, mental health, cancer, nutrition, and environmental health
  • Commitment:
    • Willingness to work for 12 months at a global research site (Trainees from Sub-Saharan Africa must spend 1-3 months in the US)

Program Highlights:

  • Mentored Research Training:
    • Focus on global health disparities, implementation science, and data science
  • One-Year Appointment:
    • Conduct global health disparities research at an approved research site in a low- and middle-income country (LMIC)
  • Funding and Support:
    • $10,000 in research project seed funding
    • Monthly living stipend
    • Travel expenses covered
