Calling on Refugees: UNICORE Fully-funded Scholarships Offer Opportunity to Study in Italy! 🇮🇹

Are you a refugee student aspiring to pursue higher education? The UNICORE 2024 project presents an extraordinary opportunity for refugee students to enroll in a master’s degree programme at an Italian university.

The University Corridors for Refugees (UNICORE) 6.0 project is a collaborative effort led by Italian universities with support from UNHCR, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Caritas Italiana, Diaconia Valdese, Centro Astalli, and other partners. This initiative aims to expand educational opportunities for refugees currently residing in Kenya, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, enabling them to pursue higher education in Italy. Refugee students interested in this programme are invited to explore the available courses and submit their applications before the deadline. It’s essential to note that applicants can apply to a maximum of two universities participating in the programme. Some universities may publish their call for applications after 1st March, so please refer to the admission criteria for specific details.

Financial Support and Benefits

Selected students will commence their degree courses in September 2024. They will be exempt from tuition fees at participating universities and will receive financial assistance for plane tickets and visa-related expenses. Additionally, a study grant will be provided to support students during their stay in Italy.

Beware of Fraudulent Practices

The submission of fraudulent school certificates or university diplomas is a criminal offense. All documents submitted will be thoroughly verified by experts. Any attempt to present fraudulent documents will result in disqualification from this and future opportunities. UNHCR reserves the right to report such incidents to the appropriate authorities.
