Robotics for Good Youth Challenge(Several prizes including fully-funded trip to AI for Good Global Summit 2025)

In today’s world, the increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters due to climate change pose significant challenges. From extreme weather events to geological upheavals, disasters can have devastating effects on communities worldwide. In such critical situations, every second counts, and rapid, accurate response is essential for saving lives and minimizing damage.

Robots have emerged as invaluable assets in disaster response efforts. Autonomous machines can navigate hazardous environments, locate survivors, and assist first responders in various tasks, ranging from search and rescue operations to damage assessment and medical supply delivery. By leveraging robotics technology, disaster relief efforts become safer, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable.

Join the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge

The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge invites teams from across the globe to design, build, and code robots to address the challenges of disaster response. This inaugural edition of the challenge will take place during the 2024-2025 period.

How to Participate

Participants can engage in the competition through in-person events organized by national organizers or by submitting their project videos for remote evaluation. Private and public entities are encouraged to apply to host in-person national events between April 2024 and April 2025.

Overview of the Challenge

The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge is an educational robotics championship aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants develop robots to address specific challenges related to these goals, fostering technical skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking among students.
