Empowering Citizen Journalists: Apply for Forest Micro-Scholarships for COP28 and UN Side-Events
In an era of global challenges and environmental crises, the power of journalism to shed light on critical issues cannot be overstated. To support aspiring journalists and citizen journalists, we are thrilled to announce the launch of seven forest micro-scholarships. These scholarships are aimed at individuals interested in attending the upcoming COP28 or one of the official UN side-events, including COY or the Forum on Minority Issues. Our objective is to encourage reporting on crucial topics such as the Rights of Nature, forest protection, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
Who Can Apply?
We invite individuals of all ages and nationalities to apply for these scholarships. While our primary focus is to empower youth citizen journalists, we welcome applications from everyone who is passionate about environmental journalism and wants to make a difference through their reporting.
Selected applicants will have the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from professional media experts to enhance their skills and knowledge. The scholarships are valued at 140 euros and will be distributed following the submission of the article or visual piece. This financial support aims to alleviate some of the expenses associated with attending these significant events.
