Empower Your Social Enterprise with AirAsia Foundation’s Grant

Are you a social enterprise striving to make a difference in your community? AirAsia Foundation invites you to apply for our empowering grant program designed to help social enterprises grow and create sustainable livelihoods. If you’re based in ASEAN and have a minimum two-year business track record, this opportunity is for you. Even NGOs aiming to diversify funding sources through social enterprise initiatives are encouraged to apply.

What We’re Looking For:

Your proposal should outline a new initiative or the expansion of an existing one achievable within a 12-month period. This could include investments for developing new products, training community members, or purchasing equipment for expansion. The key is to demonstrate how this investment will enhance your income-generating capacity to fund future activities, whether partially or fully.

Our Selection Criteria:

1. Impact on Beneficiaries: Share your social objectives and how your enterprise aims to impact communities positively.

2. Innovative Approach: Highlight what sets your social enterprise apart. Are you adopting a unique approach or creating a product/service with a distinct selling point?

3. Sustainability: Explain how our grant will help you generate income for ongoing sustainability.

4. Utilizing AirAsia’s Network: Explore ways you can leverage AirAsia’s network beyond just funding.

Additional Considerations:

Location: We prioritize social enterprises near AirAsia-served airports in ASEAN for greater exposure to our guests.
– Track Record: Competent management, accountability, cost-consciousness, and effective leadership are vital.
– Volunteerism: If your organization offers corporate volunteer programs, let us know.

How We Assess Applications:

1. Application Review: We meticulously review all the information you provide, including visiting your website and online write-ups about your work.

2. Interview: We may request additional details and a detailed budget, arranging a Skype call to learn more about your initiative.

3. On-site Evaluation: We visit your project site, meeting you, your team, and community members.

4. Review by Council of Trustees: Applications passing the initial stages are presented to our Trustees, who deliberate and make recommendations.

While we aim to respond individually to each application, please understand this might not always be possible due to the high volume of submissions. If your application moves forward, you will hear from us within six months.
