Call for Project Proposals – UEFA Foundation for Children (2026 Edition)
The UEFA Foundation for Children has officially opened its Call for Projects 2026, inviting organisations and NGOs across the globe to submit impactful initiatives that improve the lives of vulnerable children. This annual call, held throughout June and July, is one of the foundation’s most important mechanisms for advancing children’s rights, strengthening communities, and promoting sustainable development through sport and social inclusion.
The foundation’s mission is rooted in solidarity, ethical values, and development aid. Its support extends far beyond Europe, embracing global organisations that share its commitment to protecting and empowering children.
Purpose of the Call for Projects
The UEFA Foundation for Children aims to identify and support innovative, practical, and ethically grounded projects that directly benefit children facing vulnerability, exclusion, or hardship. Through this initiative, the foundation promotes:
- Fundamental rights of children
- Access to safe environments
- Social inclusion
- Long-term community development
Organisations that apply must demonstrate a clear alignment with the foundation’s values and propose tangible solutions that create measurable impact.
Key Focus Areas
Applicants may submit projects that address one or more of the following priority areas:
- Access to Sport Projects that provide children with opportunities to participate in sports, regardless of background or ability.
- Personal Development Initiatives that support emotional, social, and educational growth.
- Disabled Children Programs designed to ensure inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities for children with disabilities.
- Healthy Lifestyle Activities promoting physical health, nutrition, and overall well-being.
- Conflict Victims Support for children affected by war, displacement, or violence.
- Gender Equality Projects that empower girls and promote equal access to opportunities.
- Environmental Protection Child-focused environmental education and sustainability initiatives.
- Employability Programs that equip older children and youth with skills for future employment.
- Infrastructure and Equipment Construction, renovation, or provision of safe spaces, sports facilities, or essential equipment.
- Strengthening Partnerships Collaborative initiatives that unite multiple organisations for greater impact.
Selection Process
Every submitted project undergoes a thorough evaluation by the UEFA Foundation for Children. The Board of Trustees reviews all proposals and makes final selections during its autumn meeting, following the foundation’s statutes and ethical guidelines.
Projects must meet strict criteria related to:
- Ethical compliance
- Feasibility
- Sustainability
- Impact measurement
- Alignment with the foundation’s mission

The Candidate Registration Platform is now open for the 2026 Call for Projects. Eligible organisations are encouraged to prepare early and submit their proposals before the closing date.
