Program Overview

NYC Civic Corps is a full-time national service program administered through NYC Service. Members are placed in City agencies and nonprofit organizations throughout New York City where they support initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods, improve access to essential services, and build stronger communities.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements before joining the program.

You must:

  1. Be 18 years of age or older.
  2. Have earned a high school diploma or equivalent before the program begins.
  3. Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident.
  4. Pass the required National Service Criminal History Check.
  5. Be available to serve full-time (35 hours per week) from September 2026 through June 2027.
