About the Position
The Coordination Officer – Gender Equality and Youth Development will work within the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in New Delhi.

Under the overall supervision of the UN Women India Country Representative and in close collaboration with the UNFPA India Country Representative, the successful candidate will report day-to-day to the Chief of Staff of the Resident Coordinator’s Office.
The position plays a strategic role in advancing gender equality and youth empowerment throughout the United Nations system in India.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support UN Coordination and Programme Implementation
The officer will support effective coordination of UN activities under the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining communication and information flow among UN agencies.
- Supporting implementation of UN work plans.
- Assisting Results Groups and thematic coordination mechanisms.
- Monitoring programme implementation and progress.
- Supporting evaluation and reporting processes.
- Preparing periodic reports and strategic updates.
- Assisting with development of collaborative and joint programmes.
- Supporting annual planning and reporting exercises.
2. Strengthen Gender Equality and Youth Development Programming
A major component of the role involves ensuring that gender and youth priorities are integrated across UN initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting gender and youth-focused analysis.
- Reviewing research, reports, and statistical data.
- Producing analytical papers and policy inputs.
- Supporting strategic programming initiatives.
