About the Senior Mediation Adviser Role
The Senior Mediation Adviser position is designed for highly experienced professionals who can provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to mediation teams, conflict parties, governments, regional organizations, and other stakeholders involved in peace processes.
Selected experts may work in one or more specialized thematic areas depending on their expertise and deployment requirements.

Key Responsibilities
When Deployed to Peace Processes
Senior Mediation Advisers may be called upon to:
- Provide technical advice and expertise to mediation teams.
- Support negotiation frameworks and dialogue processes.
- Facilitate peace negotiations and stakeholder consultations.
- Contribute to drafting peace agreements and political settlements.
- Advise conflict parties and key stakeholders.
