Between 1 July and 31 December 2026, Ireland will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. As part of this historic period, the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI), in partnership with the Department of Education and Youth, is preparing to host one of the most significant youth‑policy events of the year: the European Union Youth Conference (EUYC), taking place in Dublin from 27–30 September 2026.

To support the delivery of this major international gathering, NYCI is inviting applications for 10 Group Facilitators and 10 Group Harvesters. These are paid roles, with travel, accommodation, and meals fully covered. Both roles are essential to ensuring meaningful youth participation, high‑quality dialogue, and strong policy outcomes aligned with EU Youth Goal #4: Information and Constructive Dialogue.

Overview of the EU Youth Conference 2026

The EU Youth Conference brings together young people, policymakers, youth workers, and experts from across Europe to shape the direction of EU youth policy. During Ireland’s EU Presidency, the conference will focus on strengthening access to reliable information, improving dialogue between young people and decision‑makers, and advancing youth participation across Europe.

Participants will collaborate in structured workshops, discussions, and policy‑shaping sessions. The work of facilitators and harvesters will directly contribute to the EU Youth Dialogue process, influencing recommendations at the European level.

Call for Group Facilitators

NYCI is seeking 10 skilled Group Facilitators to lead and guide workshop groups throughout the conference.

Role Purpose

Facilitators will support young participants (18+), policymakers, and experts in exploring key issues related to Youth Goal #4. They will create inclusive spaces, encourage meaningful dialogue, and help groups develop clear, actionable recommendations.

Call for Group Harvesters

NYCI is also recruiting 10 Group Harvesters to document discussions and capture outcomes during the conference.

Role Purpose

Harvesters play a crucial role in ensuring that ideas, insights, and recommendations from each workshop are accurately recorded. Their work feeds directly into the EU Youth Dialogue reporting process.
