Applications are now open for the Third Wave Fund Mobilize Power Fund (MPF) 2026, a rapid response grant opportunity designed to support youth-led and intergenerational organizations responding to urgent and unexpected challenges or opportunities.

Administered by Third Wave Fund, the Mobilize Power Fund provides flexible funding to organizations engaged in social justice, healing justice, mutual aid, community accountability, conflict transformation, direct action, and emergency safety and security efforts.

Since its launch in 2015, the fund has distributed more than US$4.3 million to over 500 groups, organizations, partnerships, and coalitions across the United States and U.S. territories.

About the Mobilize Power Fund

The Mobilize Power Fund supports organizations that are adapting or pivoting their work to address time-sensitive opportunities or threats that have emerged within the past six months.

The fund is intended for urgent needs rather than ongoing programming or pre-planned activities, making it particularly valuable for grassroots groups responding to rapidly changing circumstances.

What the Fund Supports

Eligible activities may include:

  • Mobilizations and direct actions
  • Healing justice work
  • Conflict resolution and conflict transformation
  • Community accountability initiatives
  • Mutual aid efforts
  • Emergency safety and security needs

Funding Benefits

Selected organizations receive rapid response grant funding to address pressing needs and strengthen their ability to respond effectively to emerging challenges and opportunities.

Who Can Apply

The fund is open to:

  • Youth-led organizations
  • Intergenerational groups
  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Coalitions and partnerships

Applicants must be based in:

  • The United States
  • U.S. territories

Organizations do not need 501(c)(3) status or fiscal sponsorship to be eligible.

Ineligible Requests

The fund does not support:

  • General operating deficits
  • Pre-planned events
  • Ongoing programming without a recent urgent trigger

The first application deadline for 2026 is:
